We went to the library so students could turn in old books and find new books. This 9 weeks, students should read a book from the AP reading list (on the Course Resources page on Canvas).

WNB: What are some things you can reset? Why would you reset those things?

We discussed "resetting" our goals and motivation for independent reading time and writer's notebook entries.

I passed back the PT 1 Essay rubrics and explained the scoring. Students who have specific questions about their essays should plan to come to tutorials on A block Thursday or before or after school any day this week (except Wednesday).

Students completed a 3-2-1 writing assignment over their choice of Lord of the Flies, A Separate Peace, or To Kill a Mockingbird.

Students will begin working in literature circles tomorrow.
